An accurate description of what this website currently stores in your browser — and what would change before anything non-essential is switched on.

We aim to keep the information on this page clear and accurate, and to describe our current practices as they are. It is not legal advice and does not claim guaranteed compliance. It may be updated from time to time as our services, features or practices change.

1. The short version

This website offers Google Analytics 4 as an opt-in choice. Nothing non-essential loads before you choose: accepting enables aggregate usage measurement, declining (or ignoring the banner) keeps analytics fully off. Your choice is stored as a single functional preference and can be changed below at any time.

2. What is actually stored today

FUNCTIONAL

Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so the site does not ask on every visit. Stores only the word "granted" or "denied" — never an identifier.

Retention: Until you change or clear it (via /cookies or your browser settings).

ANALYTICS

_ga, _ga_<container-id> (cookies)

Type: cookie

Google Analytics 4 identifiers used to count aggregate visits and events. Set ONLY after explicit opt-in consent via the consent banner.

Retention: Up to 14 months (GA4 default).

Your browser also requests the site's typefaces from a third-party web font service and its video files from our hosting/CDN provider. Those requests are needed to display the site; they do not place tracking cookies from us, but the provider does see your IP address. This is described in the privacy notice.

3. Google Analytics 4: active, but opt-in only

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate usage — which pages are visited and whether forms lead to a delivered enquiry. It is strictly consent-gated: it injects no Google script, makes no request to Google, and sets no cookie or identifier until you explicitly accept it in the consent banner. Declining — or simply not choosing — means analytics never runs.

The integration is built so it can never receive the values you type into a form — only technical event names such as "form submitted". IP addresses are anonymised and Google's advertising storage stays disabled in our configuration.

4. Categories used or possible on this site

  • Strictly necessary / functional: needed to make the site work or to remember a choice you made — for example the analytics-consent preference described below. Under Dutch rules these generally do not require consent, and we describe them here anyway.
  • Analytics: aggregate usage measurement via Google Analytics 4 (cookies _ga and _ga_*, up to 14 months). Privacy-sensitive, so it is treated as requiring consent and only runs after opt-in.
  • Marketing / advertising: not used today. If it is ever introduced, it will only run after opt-in. Google's advertising storage stays disabled in our configuration regardless.

5. How consent works

Non-essential cookies and tracking stay blocked until you give valid, freely given consent. The consent mechanism for analytics follows these rules: nothing non-essential loads before you choose, there are no pre-ticked boxes, refusing is as easy as accepting (two equal buttons, no dark patterns), and you can withdraw at any time on this page. Your choice is remembered in a functional localStorage preference (99icons.analytics-consent) that stores only the word "granted" or "denied".

6. Controlling storage yourself

You can clear or block cookies and site storage in your browser settings at any time. Blocking storage will not break this site: the forms post directly to our mailbox and nothing essential depends on browser storage.
